Bill Kirby is passionate about the City of Cambridge, its residents, and the City’s future. Originally from Hudson Quebec, Bill moved to Ontario in 1998 and has lived in Cambridge for seven years. He has demonstrated his commitment to his community by being an involved committee volunteer with the Cambridge Family YMCA, the Cambridge Sports Awards, Cambridge Trails Advisory, and Cambridge Toastmasters. Bill has also worked as a day–of-event volunteer with the YMCA’s annual Spring Clean-up and Jingle Bell Run, Forbes Park Festival, Tour de Grand, Cambridge Classic Mile, and the Cambridge Arts Festival.
He has worked in the technical sales field and project management for over two decades. Today, Bill is the U.S. business development manager for a multi-national marketing company. During his spare time, Bill enjoys biking, gardening, and spending time with his children and life partner.
Bill is committed to bringing thoughtful council decisions and courage to the municipal political process. He is especially concerned about the divisive nature of our community. He firmly believes in the value of meaningful communication, feels strongly about building a prosperous future and keeping the Cambridge identity. Bill Kirby shares the dream of all residents of Cambridge; to make our city the best city to live in.
